FAIRY THEME 68 { METALLIC BLUSH }

How was your weekend? Mine was spent with my big sister who was over from New Zealand and we had a fabulous time doing the shops and lunch on Saturday, cooking good food and having a laugh. The girls and I are lucky that Aunty Becky has to come over for work so much as we do get to spend quite a bit of time with her compared to all the rest of our family which we miss terribly.

The shopping day was a huge success - no kids in tow either!!. I bought some amazing black high-heeled ankle boots, some other bits and pieces and my 'reward' jeans for losing all my baby weight! Yep, I've reached my goal and couldn't be happier. It makes shopping for clothes finally enjoyable again :)
While flipping through the racks, I saw lots of trends coming through that I have been seeing throughout the blogs, lots of neon and lots of sparkle. So I thought I'd bring you this theme of Metallic Blush to kick-start your week in a subtle glitz-glam way. How about that manicure? Look out for all kinds of new and interesting ways to do your french tips. Have a great week everyone, mine will be busy, got tonnes of custom work on and that website... it's getting there.... x

PRINT COLOUR REVAMP

Some of my daily readers will have picked up on my mention of the new whizz bang website we are working terribly hard at to get up and running and with this has come a complete streamline of all of our systems to bring you a better, brighter and even more beautiful finished product. The high-quality digital press that is used to print all of our paper pretties has also had an upgrade and we thought it was a good chance to revise our colours. We have some **gorgeous** new shades and I am so excited to bring them to you. Colours such as Apricot, Seafoam, Mint, Mulberry, Parfait, Dusty Rose, Camel, Paloma, Azalea just to name a few... the beauty from these vibrant and very useful shades is exquisite. Below is a little snapshot of some of my favourite new shades...
This new palette does mean that our old palette is now not in use. So if you have purchased a sample pack prior to May 15th 2012 and are interested in ordering your stationery through us and are keen to see the revised colour chart, please email me here and I will send a new colour palette out to you. Some of our old colours have changed slightly, but the result is definitely more clean, fresh and appealing. What this also means is that when you receive one of our stunning new sample packs is that the colours on the invitation samples you get will be slightly different to what is shown on the colour palette, so please select your colours from the new palette.
Another addition to our new-look is the option of new cards stocks. We now have 5 card stock options available as opposed to our previous 2. Our standard white is our 270gsm house stock and most cost effective option. Then we move into our premium options of Brilliant White, Shimmer White, Smooth Cream and Shimmer Cream all also 270gsm but each having their own look and feel which you really need to see and feel if card stock is your thing.

You can purchase one of our new sample packs here to see for yourslef our fabulous new colours and card stocks plus receive 3 of our designs, we'll always try to give you your first preference of designs but this is not always possible due to availabilty.

Right, that's a bit of house-keeping done for the day. Any questions on card stock or our new colour palette, please flick me an email. xx

FAIRY THEME # 67 { APRICOT & NAVY }

Monday again... it would be nice to say you were my favourite day of the week, but instead you are just the one that get's the ball rolling and hopefully you will treat me nicely today and set me up for a great week ahead. There is so much on the go at the moment. Lot's and lot's of custom design work being created. It's like you all want a little something one-off and unique to you which is always exciting for me to design. I hope to show you some product pics after these designs go to print.

This week's theme is Apricot and Navy. Apricot is a colour we have introduced into our new colour palette... more on that tomorrow. Team this subtle beauty with Navy and you have a classic look brought right into today's trending palette. With so many of you choosing Navy as your wedding theme colour, I thought I'd show you how nice it looks with soft apricots and peach which I think complement the dark hue the best. So many choices for flowers, fashion and accessories also. It's a gorgeous combination.

SWEET OF THE WEEK

Whoopie Pies. Traditionally an American cream-filled sandwhich cookie is fast becoming the new alternative to cupcakes for dessert buffet or wedding favors. This divine flavour is raspberry and lemon- delish! Have a fantastic weekend everyone. Image found here.

{ CREATIVE } DIY CENTREPIECES

Look what I stumbled across via the Twittersphere yesterday... A very unique use of household containers and bottles as vessels for your floral centrepiece. Give different shaped and size bottles a lick of paint in your wedding colours and look what you get!
BHLDN have done this gorgeous little DIY post on their website here, where you can see more ideas and get tips and tricks on how to create this look yourself. They have even done a display using old champagne bottles... now there's an excuse to drink a little more! I love a little bit of crafty inspiration.
