We have just completed one of our more recent new designs Fly With Me for Renee and Casey in darker tones of plum and nautica blue. Our bird designs are always popular and this one is more of a traditional vintage style with the birdcage and vines.

FAIRY THEME # 28 { HIGH TEA }

High Tea is all about liberty florals, grannies best tea-set, 'too pretty to eat' sweet treats and behaving in a most ladylike fashion. This theme is suited to those Brides with an eclectic taste, where you can mix and match your florals with polkadots and have a table setting made up of a collection of odd vases and china. Use soft colours in pink, sage green, lemon and lots of cream and white. Think of floral fabrics and lace doilies and handwritten vintage style stationery. The result is nothing but pretty and romantic.

I'm feeling particularly full of life on this fine Saturday morning. The sun is out and it is a crisp winters day here in Melbourne. I have found this stunning winter wedding bouquet for you made of blush pinks, marshmellow whites and aubergine foliage. FAVOURITES FRIDAY { USING LAVENDER }

Sticking with our Lavender theme for Favourite's Friday today and giving you my favourite uses of lavender for a gorgeous wedding any time of year. It is such a pretty, rustic flower and perfect for a no-fuss but elegant bouquet and an easy to find and effective cake decoration. Lavender is edible didn't you know?... and makes for a delightful cocktail infusion and garnish, or break down the sprigs and use the flower petals and seeds as your confetti in your petal cones. It's such a strong theme right now and the uses of lavender as your flower of choice can work out quite low-cost. It is traditionally a summer grown flower, but I know my lavender bushes are thriving in my garden right now in the dead of winter so I think you could bank on it all year round.

WINTER PHOTOSHOOT SESSION

It has been such busy times here in Print Fairy land that I'm not quite sure where I found the time to put this shoot together, but when advertising deadlines loom, one must make the time for such fuss and bother. I am sticking to our traditional lavender colour theme and you will just have to watch this space for the reveal of the ad that will be appearing soon. FAIRY THEME # 27 { LOVELY LACE }

Oh how I love Lace. You can create your whole wedding theme around the idea of lace, it doesn't just have to be the focus of the dress. Lace is a gorgeous alternative to ribbon for favor boxes and gifts. It has such a delicate, feminine and vintage feel to it you really need to stick to complementary colour tones such as lemons, duck-egg blue, nudes and soft pinks to let the lace do it's thing. FLOWER ME HAPPY #6

Love the use of different shaped white bottles clustered together to form an arrangement. All the bottles often need is a single stem and it's complete. Use the same coloured flowers, or mix them up completely and this type of arrangement always looks gorgeous. Image found here.

FAVOURITES FRIDAY { BRIDAL MANICURE }

Some nail art can be oh so tacky and you really don't want to get it wrong on your wedding day. There is a huge trend this coming summer to have bold colours on your nails right throughout fashion. We've been seeing the blacks, browns and reds for a while, but think colours such as yellow, lavendar and tangerine for your summer nail trend. So what about for my wedding? It's becoming widely accepted to continue this trend through to bridal wear, so perhaps tone it down a little and make sure whatever colour you pick runs with the theme and colours of your big day. Or if you don't want a pop of colour on your nails, go neutral but add a little bling instead.

Every 3 months my favourite of fav bridal magazines hits the shelves and we are lucky enough to feature again in the Wedding Style Guide winter issue - hits shelves today! The girls at Style Guide really do an amazing job (and are so lovely to deal with), it is easy to see why this magazine is seen as Australians premium wedding read.

PINSTRIPE IN MAJESTY AND LAVENDAR

Here is one of our pocket-fold style of invitations - Pinstripe for Sarah and Daniel. It's great to have the folded cover with invitation and rsvp card held neatly inside so no bits can fall out! Remember we can do this style of invitation for any of our designs.

FAIRY THEME # 25 { PURPLE PASTELS }

This I would have to say is my favourite fairy theme board of late. It's funny because these are my wedding colours from 3.5 years ago and I STILL love the softness of the purple-ly blues, I even had delphiniums just like the purple/blue ones here. So if I were to do it all again, would I use these colours? It's hard to say when you work with beautiful colour palettes every day... I adore the dirty pale lavendar of this dress and the dots on that cake are divine, loving the simplicity and elegance of that cake.

FAVOURITES FRIDAY { DESSERT BUFFET }

Going for a Dessert or Candy Buffet instead of a standard 1 option dessert from a set menu is becoming a very popular trend at wedding receptions. The table can act as a real centerpiece to a the room when styled according to your theme. Make it full to overflowing with co-ordinating coloured candies, cupcakes and treats. Let your guests create their own favor goodie bags to take home full of their favourite lollies. Have the wedding cake as the hero of the table and use buntings, pom poms and decorative backdrops to pull the look together.
